Jessica Baron Hughes is originally from Québec in Canada where she studied literature, History of Art and textile design.

   She emigrated to Ireland in 2005 and after a few years spent in the capital, she is now established in County Cork where she practices oil painting.

   Her paintings, with full use of the paint’s texture, show  a poetic exploration of light and shade, always with a tint of reality and a fineness of colors.
